No Recife palcos espalhados pelos quatro cantos da cidade, principalmente no Ricifi Antígo (pronunciado assim) levou esse ano para todos os foliões artistas como Lenine, Alceu Valença, Seu Jorge, Roberta Sá, Lula Santos, Geraldo Azevedo, Nação Zumbi, Orquestra de Frevo do Recife, Elba Ramalho, Naná Vasconcelos, Reginaldo Rossi, Jussara Silveira, Beth Carvalho, Pedro Luís e a Parede, Pitty entre tantos outros. Em Olinda, animados blocos (sem corda) saem pelas suas ladeiras levando frevo, marchinhas, samba, batuque e muito mais. As fantasias são um espetáculo a parte, lá se vê de tudo, de super-heróis a personagens criados pelo facebook, tinha gente fantasiado até de privada (isso mesmo, um sanitário humano em pleno carnaval...kkk).
